Edit: An earlier version of this article mistakenly said that Russell Westbrook plays for the Lakers. It has been changed to Westbrook's correct basketball team, the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Much to the annoyance of most metalheads, more and more non-metal celebrities are hopping on the metal t-shirt bandwagon. Not only are they wearing shirts of bands they probably don't listen to, but they've also been hiring artists from the metal scene to make their logos for them.
So it comes as no surprise that in Kerry King's new interview with B.C. Rich, this issue came up. Surprisingly, King was pretty cool with it. He said:
"It’s not for me to judge. Is it weird? Yes. Is it humbling? Yes. Do I know which ones are real and which ones aren’t? Not a clue.”
As a huge sports guy, though, he was pretty spyched to see the Oklahoma City Thunder's Russell Westbrook sporting a Slayer shirt.
