Folk singer-songwriter Ian Penn has released the first single and title track of his upcoming album “Water From The Creek.” The album was crowdfunded with the use of Pledge Music.

“Last year, after the release of my debut EP ‘Wild Abandon,’ I supported Dragonfly Collector on their Philippine Tour,” Penn writes in his Pledge Music page. “I came home with beautiful memories with a handful of songs I’ve written on the road.”

He went on to say that by pre-ordering “Water From The Creek” would instantly get you an instant download of an exclusive live demo of the track, plus the full album on the day of its release. Pledging the minimum amount of $10 would also get you the access pass, which you can use to view exclusive content like early demos, videos of rehearsal and recording sessions, and the stories behind the songs.

As of this writing, the campaign has already achieved 128% of its goal, 62 days before its release.
