Circa Survive has released a new song and music video called “The Rites of Investiture.” This one’s a must-see for die-hard Circa Survive fans because it’s a black-and-white short film starring a twelve-year-old Anthony Green. It may not be as epic as their previously released music video for “Lustrations,” but it’s definitely as interesting.

The Youtube description for the video tells the story of the short:

“All of the footage for the video comes from a 1994 short film shot by Anthony Green's cousin, Jonathan Michaels. Michaels was building his film school portfolio and asked then 12-year-old Anthony Green to act in one of the projects, rewarding him with a copy of The Smiths' seminal album, The Queen Is Dead, which Green promptly fell in love with.”

The video was edited by Megan Thompson. Watch it below:

This track is off their upcoming album “The Amulet,” which comes out on September 22 via their new label, Hopeless Records.
