Chris Cornell passes away at 52
UPDATE: The Associated Press has reported that the cause of Cornell's death was suicide by hanging. This was confirmed by a Detroit Medical Examiner.
The last song the frontman played with Soundgarden on their last show was "Slaves and Bulldozers."

Today is a sad day indeed as reports broke out about the passing of rock icon Chris Cornell, best known for fronting Soundgarden and Audioslave.
In a statement given to The Associated Press, Cornell’s representative Brian Bumbery broke the shocking and heartbreaking news, calling the legendary frontman’s death on Wednesday night “sudden and unexpected”. Cornell died in Detroit after playing a show at Fox Theatre with Soundgarden as part of their spring tour with The Pretty Reckless.
