DevilDriver to Play Coal Chamber Songs

Dez Fafara has confirmed that his current band DevilDriver will be incorporating Coal Chamber songs into their setlist on their upcoming tour.

This bit of news comes from an interview with metal blog Metal Paths.

“I will tell you this now, DEVILDRIVER is going to start playing 4 COAL CHAMBER songs. I’m tired of wating to play the music that made me who I was, I waited 14 years to play “Loco” again, and that’s the song that made me who I was, that I wrote…”

He also shared a conversation he had with Glenn Danzig about the matter:

“I had a late night phone call with GLENN DANZIG, called my house, and he told me ‘listen when I left the MISFITS, I played SAMHAIN songs and MISFITS songs when I was playing DANZIG songs. When ROB ZOMBIE left WHITE ZOMBIE he played WHITE ZOMBIE SONGS. Why have you waited for long?

Metal Paths says that they’ll be posting the full interview “in a readable and audible format” soon, so stay tuned for that.

Dez Fafara left Coal Chamber back in 2002 before going on to form DevilDriver. He reunited with the band back in 2015 and released their first album in thirteen years, “Rivals.”
