Valley of Chrome and Batas Collaborate for Brgy Tibay Anniversary Promo Song

It’s no secret that hip hop and hardcore go together like beer and more beer, which is why this Valley of Chrome x Batas collaboration hits hard. Written and recorded in promotion of Brgy Tibay’s upcoming 11th Anniversary gig, it was masterminded by none other than Brgy Tibay co-founder and Greyhoundz frontman Reg Rubio himself.

“Basically it was Reg’s idea to have us collab on a track with Batas in time para sa promo ng event,” Valley of Chrome frontman Rogel Africa told us. “We found it cool to do.”

Africa has said that it is not an actual song, meaning that it is highly unlikely that it’ll be on their upcoming album. If it will, then it’ll just be a bonus track.

The song was recorded at Tower of Doom, was audio produced by Reg Rubio, and was mixed and mastered by Symoun Dred Durias. Eric Perlas also had a hand in the producing, mixing, and mastering of the track. The video, on the other hand, was directed by Joseph Maquirang and Tuts Calinawan.

The Brgy Tibay 11th Anniversary will take place at Metrotent in Metrowalk, Ortigas, Pasig City. Hosted by Even’s Reyes and Jun Sabayton (a.k.a. Bayaw) the event has a diverse line-up, with Autotelic, Badburn, Typecast, Valley of Chrome, Queso, Greyhoundz, just to name a few. Check out the poster below:

And in case you missed it, Valley of Chrome was on the cover of last year’s November issue. Check it out:

Greyhoundz, on the other hand, was on the cover of our February issue.
