Pop punk band Snakefight (which consists of vocalist Christian Tomacruz, guitarists Ron Dela Cruz and Luigi Tuazon, bassist Dowell Delos Reyes, and drummer Daryl Alvarez) has just released the second single “Liar” off their upcoming EP “Never Looking Back.” “Liar” was recorded at Emil Dela Rosa’s (Faintlight) Campsite Recordings, where bands like Sirens, Days of January, and Imbue No Kudos have also recorded. Check out the song below:
The song is aggressive and emotionally charged as much as it is catchy. With the throaty hardcore-influenced vocals, glimmering guitar leads and a hard-hitting rhythm section, the song is reminiscent of The Story So Far’s debut album, “Under Soil and Dirt.”
About the inspiration behind the song, vocalist Christian Tomacruz says, "Yung feeling [na] may kausap kang puro salita lang naman. Walang pupuntahan. Just real life shit."
The band previously released the first single from the EP, “Far From Over,” which is available for streaming on Spotify.
The band plans on releasing more material in the coming weeks leading up to the EP’s release, which will be sometime this month. The band is also planning on going on tour. As of this writing, these are the tour dates that have been confirmed. Venues and more dates TBA:
