H.I.M., the Finnish goth-metal band, have announced on Facebook that they are retiring. There is no specified cause for the retirement, other than it’s just what needs to be done.

“We completed the pattern, solved the puzzle and turned the key. Thank you,” frontman Ville Vallo said in a Facebook post on the band’s page announcing their farewell.

The band, whose songs about heartbreak garnered them the Love Metal tag, plans on going on a tour one last time under their famous Heartagram banner.

“At the end of 2017 we will be released into the wild,” bassist Mige wrote. “Before this event of great transformation we would love to offer you one last chance to experience our live performances in His Majesty’s service. It shall not be a weepfest but a celebration of love metal in all its lovecraftian glory! See you there!”
