Colt 45 presents Pulp Summer Slam 12: The Apostles

The annual Pulp Summer Slam festival in Manila, Philippines have just announced its international-band line up with Arch Enemy as the headliner, followed by August Burns Red, Blessthefall, Darkest Hour, Periphery, and We Came as Romans. The festival, which is attended by 30,000 fans every year, will be held on April 28, 2012 at the Amoranto Stadium, Quezon City. The line up will be supported by six more bands which are yet to be announced. Tickets to Pulp Summer Slam 12: The Apostles will cost P400 (approximately 9 US Dollars) and will include freebies such as beer, pizza, soda, cellphone load, and discount to the official festival shirt.

Presented by Colt 45, Pulp Summer Slam 12: The Apostles will also be conducting a video filming for Arch Enemy’s upcoming live concert DVD. This will be the third time for the festival to host a filming – Death Angel filmed parts of their documentary, A Thrashumentary, at the festival last April 2011 which will be released in Spring of 2012 while Shadowsfall released Madness in Manila last October 2010, also filmed at the festival and venue in 2009.

Last year, Pulp Summer Slam was headlined by Anthrax, Hellyeah, and Death Angel. Thousands of rock and heavy metal fans all over the country, as well as neighboring countries, flocked to the Amoranto Stadium to witness the 15-hour show which was highlighted by Anthrax’s performance followed by a two-minute pyro show.

Tickets to Pulp Summer Slam 12: The Apostles are now available at Ticketworld.com.ph, Ticketnet.com.ph, and smtickets.com for P400 (Approximately 9 US Dollars) each.

VIP tickets available at P5,000 inclusive of open bar and unlimited pizza (while supplies last) , access to VIP audience area and VIP Lounger, and laminate pass.

    Its funny how your asking for more bands (local/international) and complaining when you can’t even afford the 400pesos entrance!

      Also, you’re asking for bigger metal bands that have been in the scene for more than a decade. Obviously, those acts will cost more. If you want them here, you might as well kiss your 400pesos goodbye because definitely, the ticket prices are going to sky rocket by then. So if I were you, be thankful that we have PULP to bring all these acts here. And with regards to the VIP section, why do you have to be bitter about it? Some people can afford and they just want  to be situated nearer the stage to enjoy the music better. Stop whining about it just because you can’t go to the event or be in their place. PULP Summer Slam ticket prices are a bargain already in comparison to other music festivals. Come to think about it, if I were Vernon, I’d increase the 400pesos ticket prices so that “rocker mandurukots” as what they call it, can’t come to the event and ruin the day for everyone by stealing cameras, phones etc.

      These acts were chosen to be brought here for a reason. Couldn’t everyone just acknowledge the effort that someone is bringing them here instead of bashing each others band preference?

      And to those referring to them as GAY LINE UP. You might want to check the target audience here in the Philippines as well since these bands are what most people are listening to already. If you think about it, the heavier bands that they brought here for their own concerts didn’t even have that much of an audience and yet PULP still continues to bring in who they can. So stop the hate and learn to appreciate!

      Its as simple as, “if you don’t like it then don’t watch”.
