Leafing through GINOONG VITALIS’ band biography, the one thing that will catch your attention he most is this: they have participated – and won! – in a boatlaos of Battle of the Bands contests. From college fests to commercial ones, name any band competition of any form. Ginoong Vitalis has been there.
“Para sa amin enjoy lang, pero mas exciting kapag kasali kami sa mga Battle of the Bands kasi mas maraming nanunuod and majority from these people are expecting something from you, so unconsciously nsndun ung challenge. Sa school din namin kasi, maraming competition na isinasagawa kaya marami kaming room for improvement. Dumating na rin sa point na yung ibang tao nire-refer nila kami na sumali sa mga competition outside the University kaya dumami na yung experiences namin as a band. Most recently competition na nasalihan ng band is Nokia Music Connection, referred by our friend Devonaire Ong. ‘Kuya Mek’ (Ong) told us that he believes in us and we can make it. Sa totoo lang, yung mga taong naniniwala at nagmamahal sa amin ang lalong nagpapalakas ng loob namin at nagpu-push sa amin to join.”
