To get to know more about the fantastic line-up of acts included in this festival, let us begin with arguably the most decorated dude, James Blake.
James Blake (born 25 September 1988) is an English electronic music producer and singer-songwriter. Influenced by the likes of D'Angelo, Stevie Wonder, Burial and Mount Kimbie, London-based James Blake first gave the world a taste of his quirky, R&B-sampling strain of dubstep in 2009 when his Air & Lack Thereof 12" appeared on the Hemlock label. The following year was a breakout one for Blake, with a succession of warmly received 12" releases – The Bells Sketch, CMYK, Klavierwerke, and the
single-sided Limit to Your Love. The last of the series – a cover of a song by Feist – served as a precursor to his first full-length album issued the following February.
In April of 2013, his second album Overgrown was launched. It featured collaborations with Brian Eno and RZA. The album saw James growing as a singer and songwriter, while returning to the brain-melting electronic perfection of his early releases on Hemlock and Hessle.
Here's a sampling of the adventurous smooth sounds of James Blake…
