PULP recently announced the 7 international acts of PULP Summer Slam 14 this April 26, 2014 at the Amoranto Theater, Quezon City – Asking Alexandria, Bullet for My Valentine, Hatebreed, Kreator, Death Angel, The Black Dahlia Murder and Crossfaith. Me personally, I'm looking forward to Hatebreed and Kreator the most. So yeah, snap those tickets or, better yet, get PULP Royalty for extra perks and privileges. If you think P400 is too much to ask for a great metal festival, then I strongly suggest you go to rehab or the mental institution and go get a fucking job afterwards.

But if you're more into the indie sound and travelling, then I suggest you check out Laneway Singapore 2014 this January 25, 2014 at The Meadow, Gardens by the Bay in Singapore. For ticket inquiries and more information, please check out http://singapore.lanewayfestival.com.au/.

For today's Laneway Artist feature, here's one act I'm barely containing myself to affix "<3" with every mention – HAIM. The Los Angeles, California-based sister trio of Danielle, Este and Alana Haim first started paying their dues in 2006 after spending a large chunk of their childhood playing in a family cover band. Haim's addictive, percussive songs and blistering live shows (a flirtatious mass of flailing hair and drumsticks) received a wave of industry attention in 2012. Their Spring 2012 debut release - the Forever EP, along with appearances at Texas' SXSW and Brighton's The Great Escape, intensified the excitement.

In 2013, their debut album Days Are Gone (under, of all labels, Roc Nation) - recorded with producers Ariel Rechtshaid (Vampire Weekend, Usher) and James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Florence + the Machine) earned them a lot of buzz and attention with their highly-praised live shows and their highly-
contagious songs borne out of their quest to simulate Beyonce and indie sensibility in a blender (sort of like acts such as Dirty Projectors and the Queen B's sister, Solange).

With that being said, here are some choice cuts from Haim. For the guys who were unfamiliar with them
efore reading this, yes, you're welcome….
