Focal Point Winners - August 2015
Congratulations to Seth Valenzuela! His photo carefully captured our sentiments about the theme. Check out his winning photo in Focal Point published full-spread in the upcoming August issue of PULP Magazine.
In the mean time, we’d like to commend these three other submissions:
Yael Yuzon of Sponge Cola goes beyond the stage.
Mobbed by cameras instead of crazy hands! Hmmm have we so changed?
NEIL KENNETH SAEL
With a huge number of bands trying hard to make it into the scene, there could be one that can reach out to everyone and stand out among the rest.
Interestingly, this photo tells us of captivating audiences as well.
I always find that as a photographer, I am able to see more than others at a concert. In every photograph I take, I want to capture the concert in a more exciting and interesting way, the way that a photographer sees the crowd. It is radically different than a spectator’s point of view. I want to be able to capture the excitement and the energy that the fans have.
Yep. No photos more genuine than those shot from the crowd.
Thank you for participating! Stay tuned for next month’s theme!
